Wrapped Around the Axle

The debut full-length: old-school country with a modern spin that doesn't lean pop, built on twangy guitars, steady rhythms and catchy harmonies.

Based in Providence, Jake Hunsinger is an eclectic singer-songwriter and a student of country music's songwriting traditions. With his friends in The Rock Bottom Band, he plays energetic shows built on rollicking arrangements, dynamic production and serene hillbilly harmonies.

Self-described history nerds, the four of them look back to push American roots music forward: Jake's country writing, Jamie's inventive bass lines, Zack's Latin, jazz and New Orleans rhythms, and Andrew's ear for harmony.

“A blend of full-bodied soul and a bit of a twang.”
